CONSTRUCTION OVERVIEW
The Nympheas Cardigan begins with constructing the back. Start by casting on stitches for the upper back, then knit the back flat while incorporating short rows. After putting the back stitches on hold, pick up stitches for the left and right shoulders, making increases for the neckline.
Each shoulder section is knit flat, and the final step of the yoke is to join each front section to the back. The body is then knit flat, with a welt finish and ribbing at the hem.
The button bands are picked up and knit along the edges of the cardigan. The collar stitches are picked up next, followed by knitting a welt and finishing with ribbing. Finally, sleeve stitches are picked up at the armholes and knit in the round with decreases, finishing with ribbing.
