ENGLISH
The Retro Sweater is a versatile sweater thanks to its style. It can easily fit into an après-ski wardrobe with a more rustic Aran weight yarn or become a modern city sweater with a yarn that has lots of drape and is knitted more loosely. The drop shoulder construction results in a sweater with plenty of positive ease and absolute comfort. The sample was knitted using three different colors, but the pattern is easily adaptable for a single color or a combination of leftover yarns. The sweater is knit top-down, starting flat, then in the round from the armholes.

SIZE GUIDE
The Retro Sweater is designed to have about 20-25 cm 8-10 inches of positive ease, meaning it will be 20-25 cm 8-10 inches larger than your bust circumference. If you have a fuller bust, I recommend using your high bust as the measurement.
The sizes XS (S) M (L) XL (2XL) 3XL (4XL) 5XL are designed for a bust circumference of 76-81 (82-87) 88-92 (98-103) 104-108 (108-112) 121-127 (132-139) 147-152 cm 30-32 (33-35) 35-37 (39-41) 41-43 (43-45) 48-50 (52-55) 58-60 inches, with the finished sweater having a circumference of 101 (107) 112 (123) 128 (132) 147 (157) 172 cm 40 (43) 45 (49) 51 (53) 58 (62) 68 inches.
If you are between two sizes, I recommend choosing the larger size.
The model in the photo is wearing a size S for a bust circumference of 81 cm 32 inches, with 26 cm 11 inches of positive ease for the upper bust.SWEATER CONSTRUCTION EXPLANATION
The first step is to build the back of the sweater. You will start by casting on the required number of stitches for the top of the back, then knit the back flat in pattern, while creating increases. After placing the back stitches on hold, you will pick up the stitches for the left and right shoulders, creating increases for the neckline. The two shoulders will then be joined, and the front will be knit flat. The final step of the yoke is to join everything together to knit in the round. The body will then be knit in the round, in pattern, and finished with 2x2 ribbing, either worked separately or in the round, depending on your preference. The collar stitches will then be picked up and knit in the round in 2x2 ribbing, with the option of finishing with stockinette rows or as a turtleneck. The sleeve stitches will be picked up at the armholes, then knit in pattern with a 2x2 ribbed finish.TECHNIQUE USED:
