ENGLISH

The Cinderella Sweater is my vision of a fairy tale, embodied in a versatile cardigan for the spring and summer seasons, embellished with a feminine and magical touch through its ruffles and pearl buttons. It was the color of the yarn that first inspired this design, followed by the idea of creating a cardigan with a square neckline adorned with ruffles and flared sleeves for a standout look. This pattern is available in both cardigan and pullover versions; please refer to the appropriate section based on your preference. The sweater is worked from the top down, with a construction that combines dropped shoulders and a hammer shoulder fit.

SIZE GUIDE
The Cinderella Sweater is designed with approximately 0-5 cm 0-2 inches of positive ease, meaning it is 0-5 cm 0-2 inches larger than your bust circumference. Measure your upper bust; if there is a large difference between your upper bust and full bust, take a measurement that accommodates up to 2.5 cm 1 inch of negative ease at most.
Sizes XXS (XS) S (M1) M2 (L1) L2 (XL) 2XL (3XL) 4XL (5XL) 6XL are designed for a bust circumference of: 76 (81) 86 (91) 96 (101) 107 (116) 127 (132) 137 (142) 152 cm 30 (32) 34 (36) 38 (40) 42 (46) 50 (52) 54 (56) 60 inches, resulting in a finished project circumference of: 81 (86) 91 (96) 101 (106) 112 (121) 132 (137) 142 (147) 157 cm 32 (34) 36 (38) 40 (42) 44 (48) 52 (54) 56 (58) 62 inches.

The model in the photo is wearing size XS with an upper bust measurement of 32 inches and a full bust measurement of 34 inches, in the color Lucy in the Sky.

Note that the sweater is designed to have sleeves with very little positive ease, so refer to the schematic below for the best fit.

SWEATER CONSTRUCTION
The first step will be to construct the back and shoulders of the cardigan with “raglan” increases along the shoulder line. You will start with the number of stitches for the back of the cardigan, then knit the back flat while making increases to form the shoulders. Next, you will form the two front and back sections flat, placing the sleeve stitches on hold. Increases for the neckline will be made at this stage. You will then join the two front sections to the back and knit the body flat (for the cardigan version) or in the round for the pullover version. The sleeve stitches will be picked up at the armholes, and a portion of the stitches will be picked up along the armholes. The sleeves will be knit in the round, ending with ribbing and a ruffle finish. Finish by picking up the button band for an I-cord edging, then knit the collar in ribbing, also with a ruffle finish.
